Global healthcare analytics company IQVIA has released its 2025 Sustainability Report, outlining progress across its three core pillars: People, Public, and Planet. The report highlights how the company is integrating innovation, workforce development, and environmental responsibility into its broader mission of advancing healthcare.

IQVIA’s Investment in AI and Workforce Development

One major focus of the report is investment in employees. With a workforce of more than 93,000 people worldwide, IQVIA expanded learning and development programs in 2025, particularly in AI and data analytics skills. The company reported more than 230,000 employee engagements with AI-related training resources, while over 2,000 employees participated in leadership development programs aimed at strengthening the company’s global leadership pipeline.

The report also highlights continued innovation in artificial intelligence and technology. IQVIA expanded partnerships to support its AI ecosystem and introduced new AI-enabled solutions for both internal operations and external clients. These initiatives are overseen by the company’s AI Governance Council and its Center for Defensible Data and AI, which focus on ensuring responsible use of AI, with attention to privacy, regulatory compliance, and patient safety.

Improving Research Access and Environmental Sustainability

Another key theme is improving access to healthcare and clinical research. IQVIA reported efforts to expand patient participation in clinical trials and improve representation of underserved populations. For example, new trial sites were activated in Brazil and Argentina as part of a large global study on acute coronary syndrome, contributing 5,700 participants toward a target of 47,000 patients worldwide. The company also expanded its Prime Sites network of high-performing clinical trial centers to 56 locations globally.

Beyond clinical research, IQVIA supported several global health initiatives in 2025, collaborating with governments, healthcare organizations, and industry partners to respond to disease outbreaks, develop digital health strategies, and strengthen healthcare systems.

The report also details progress in reducing environmental impact. IQVIA reported that its global laboratory network achieved 100% certification through the My Green Lab® program, while additional efforts focused on improving sustainability in clinical trial logistics. These included redesigning trial test kits to use at least 98% recycled materials and reducing cold-chain packaging emissions by 70%.

The company’s work was also recognized externally. In 2025, IQVIA was named to the Fortune World’s Most Admired Companies list for the ninth consecutive year, ranking first in its category for the fifth year in a row. The company also received recognition in TIME’s inaugural ranking of the world’s top HealthTech companies and multiple awards for innovation, employee development, and AI implementation in life sciences.

Overall, the report reflects how companies in the life sciences ecosystem are increasingly aligning innovation, sustainability, and global health impact as part of their long-term strategy.
