IQVIA, a global provider of healthcare analytics and clinical research services, has introduced a new set of AI agents designed to support life sciences workflows, aiming to accelerate research and improve decision-making across the industry.

The announcement was made at NVIDIA GTC Paris, where the company presented several real-world applications of these AI systems built using technology from NVIDIA.

How AI Agents Work

The agents are designed to assist researchers and healthcare companies with some of the most time-consuming tasks in drug development and commercialization. Potential use cases include identifying promising biological targets, reviewing clinical data, analyzing scientific literature, assessing market opportunities, and supporting engagement with healthcare professionals.

Unlike general-purpose AI tools, these systems are trained on healthcare-specific data and designed to integrate directly into life sciences workflows. The goal is to help researchers navigate complex datasets faster and generate insights that can support everything from early discovery to clinical trials and market launch.

What it Means For the Industry

The initiative is part of a broader collaboration between IQVIA and NVIDIA announced earlier this year, focused on developing custom AI models and agentic workflows tailored to the life sciences industry.

As AI continues to play a growing role in biomedical research, platforms like these could help companies reduce the time needed to move from scientific discovery to new treatments reaching patients.
